Hello, I'm Bernha — lovely to meet you
I'm a general practitioner consulting from GP Breedt at Kloof Medical Centre. I qualified with an MBChB from Stellenbosch University and completed my training at King Edward VIII Hospital. I care for patients of all ages and stages of life.
My consulting style is simple: I listen first, I explain things in plain language, and we make decisions together. Whether you're in for a once-off illness or managing a chronic condition over years, you should leave every consultation knowing exactly where you stand and what happens next.
Weight is one area I care about personally as well as professionally. I've lost 20 kg myself, and I did it by changing habits and building a balanced way of living rather than chasing a quick fix — which is exactly how I consult on it: practically, without judgement, and with expectations you can actually meet.
Alongside general practice, I hold a Diploma in Occupational Health from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which allows me to offer occupational health services to local employers and employees.
